About

Tabletop player and playing Vampire the Masquerade since 2000. Has ST’ed multiple LARPs and games in his hayday and is usually stuck being the ST for any game his troupe wants to play. So I spent a bunch of money to fly out to Vegas to be a PC for once. 😀

  • Darkness Emergent - Las Vegas

    Subtle Movements

Braydon arrived in Vegas with the intent of aiding the Iron Horsemen secure Theo Bell's support in being the transportation overseers of the newly established Barony which was successful. During his time in Vegas he made connections to Theo Bell, discussed Anarch philosophy and the former Archon wished to see Braydon more active in the Movement - Braydon's nomadic ways, Bell said, kept him from truly committing to the cause. Investigating the curse on Las Vegas by the local Hecata led Braydon to discover that the blood was tainted with Oblivion magic - making him suspect this was a Clan effort to make the Barony bend to the Hecata rather than what was publicized: That some "Dark god Dispater" was causing issues for the Kindred. It was taken to the Authority who seemed nonplussed about the knowledge. He did aid the Anarchs in securing an Anarch a seat on Theo Bell's inner circle. A Camarilla Archon eager to secure a Camarilla voice in his ear was ousted from victory via a tie-breaker, managed only by Braydon giving a Pankration bracelet to an Anarch that allowed the tie to happen. The Baron of Peoria labelled him 'Kingmaker', and the non-official nickname stuck.

  • Atlanta

    A change in approach

Braydon arrived in Atlanta as part of a transportation contract for several Tzimisce and others. While there he attended the Elysium of the Camarilla Court at their invitation. The Iron Horsemen had received an influx of members, and Braydon's weak standing had the Powers That Be force him out, leaving him factionless. Given his tenure as a runner and someone who often works behind enemy lines, he found acceptance with the Chimera Group. While at Atlanta he made headway with the local Thin-Bloods, offering a patronage in exchange 'for the best beer' as a means of spreading his connections and nomad network, as well as use their works as a means of distribution in Peoria to help open doors that might otherwise be closed. He did aid the Chimera Group in their task, discovering a mole through the help of a Digital Collective contact. Most of his time in Atlanta however was haunted by the disappearance of his nephew. With no sign or clue of his whereabouts or safety and the kidnapper being constantly elusive, Braydon was left in the dark. Others who had important members kidnapped slowly were given access to them as a means of taunting, but Braydon's was never revealed. Only when the Digital Collective and the victims went to a building, where an AI system reminiscent of another Kindred came to taunt the Kindred did Braydon find his nephew. Leaving his nephew for the others to save, Braydon shut the power off and began destroying the server system - collecting the server drive that maintained the AI program 'Basilisk". He used it to meet a courier who he intimidated in telling him the person who hired him was in Savannah. The courier escaped without the server drive and Braydon destroyed it, sending the Collective a TikTok of it's Office-Spaced destruction. Additionally Braydon spent time discussing politics and law with the ancient Tegyrius. His fame for arbitration and respect coming from it was something that Braydon wanted to learn, and asked for help, advice and a few lessons if the Methuselah was willing. He accepted on condition that Braydon view the trial, take notes, and judge whether or not Tegyrius was fair in the trial. Afterwards, Braydon told him that the trial itself was rigged - given several centuries since the event in question left all evidence as hearsay. To fairly judge rumor, potentially forged documents, and hearsay was no small feat. Judging such things 'fairly' meant everything would have to have equal weight or acceptance criteria - otherwise it'd be tainted - which Tegyrius did. Impressed by the illumination, Tegyrius agreed to "a few lessons", not wishing to compromise more of his honeymoon with Victoria Ash.
