Zebadiah, Zeb to his friends or Mr. Pace to those he doesnt care for. Born in the South just before the Civil War, he was raised by parents who wanted to do right and they helped slaves head north via the Appalachian Mountains. He was turned by one of them.
He's since spent his years roaming the mountains older than bones, passing gossip and running a railroad of his own, helping Kindred hide or escape, not for free, and not 100% successful, which has made some folks mad at him over the years.
